Cross training sports camps, inc. Seeks to spread joy, empower the powerless, and lift up the name of jesus.”
“Domestic programs the cross training sports camps ministry actually began as a request for a week long sports camp to be held on a north american indian reservation in red lodge, montana in 2002. From that early work, the united states ministry has grown multiple local camps for children in gainesville, georgia and various camps lead in partnership with churches around the nation. One of the most unique outgrowths of the ministry has been the start of camps for special needs children. The elsie conde camp in gainesville began in 2009 to provide a week of free camp for these children who may have never been able to attend any camp. Cross training sports camps allow volunteers to enter any community and set up sports and sound equipment, snacks, and treats for a day of camp. The rotation model allows children to form different groups to learn sports like soccer, softball, volleyball and group games. One rotation is cross training; in this group campers hear bible stories and christian teachings.”
“International programs at cross training sports camp, inc we have traveled the world from africa and bolivia to central america. As we began to grow and seek gods ongoing purpose for our ministry, we were drawn to a small island off the coast of honduras called roatan. After receiving an invitation to conduct a sports camp at a local orphanage in roatan in 2003, we saw the many varied needs of the children and families there. As we arrived and then left after a single week or two of ministry for a few years, we began to feel god calling us to a longer, stronger presence in the communities there. As we experienced what life was like on the island and came into contact with the christian churches and missionaries already there, we began to search for how we might have the most impact in the lives of the island people. The results are the ministries that are defined here on our site: a feeding program in the french harbor area that is a collaborative ministry in conjunction with other international ministries and local christians who perform the day to day operations. A youth ministry building in the flowers bay area called the net. This new structure houses weekly bible studies for youth and provides a gathering place for area youth to participate in wholesome leisure activities. It also provides a physical place where job training activities can take place to provide women and youth with skills to improve their lives. A yearly elsie conde camp for special needs children, which along with the local island moms of special needs kids, is helping to change perceptions of special needs people on the island. We have grown to love the island with its contrast of beauty and darkness, poverty and affluence. We strive to minister in the name of jesus to one and all as we look to meet the needs of its people by through provision, training and encouragement. Through partnerships and friendships, we seek to embody the love of christ to everyone we meet in roatan.”
“Feeding programs and educational support i wasi am feeding program i wasi am feeding program provides daily breakfast and lunch to 100 school children in roatan. These children who would otherwise go without meals come from the the hill community and surrounding areas. Local volunteers and 2 paid employees prepare and serve meals daily at a local church. Ctsc and our sponsors partner with local churches, businesses and individuals to maintain this ministry. Daily prayers and devotions accompany the daily serving of meals. Frequently volunteers provide special programs and distribute school supplies and clothing. Educational support while public schools are available in roatan, students and their families must provide uniforms, books, school supplies and transportation. Ctsc maintains a list of worthy students in need of support for basic education. Currently, more than 30 children are being sponsored by donors through our ministry. Hundreds of other students receive book bags and school supplies through ctsc. Many of our volunteer teams have arrived with basic clothing and supplies for their weeks stay so that the bulk of their luggage space could be filled with crayons, markers, rulers and composition books student sponsorship cross training sports camps, inc. Is currently accepting students for sponsorship through community referrals and relationships through our other ministries on roatan. Currently, we are sponsoring as many students as possible through individual donors, however, the need is great. We are looking for additional partners to join us in ministering to the youth of roatan by providing them with the opportunity to get an education. Cost of sponsorship: public schools in roatan require that families or students cover the cost of school uniforms, books, school supplies, and transportation. THROUGH PARTNERSHIPS AND FRIENDSHIPS, WE SEEK TO EMBODY THE LOVE OF CHRIST TO EVERYONE WE MEET IN ROATAN. |

| IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt | 0 | FOUNDED IN 2002, CROSS TRAINING SPORTS CAMPS, INC. PROVIDES SPORTS CAMPS IN IMPOVERISHED COMMUNITIES, FEEDING PROGRAMS AND SCHOOL SUPPLIES FOR STREET CHILDREN, JOB TRAINING FOR SINGLE MOTHERS AND SUPPORT FOR LOCAL CHURCHES. CROSS TRAINING SPORTS CAMPS, INC. SEEKS TO SPREAD JOY, EMPOWER THE POWERLESS, AND LIFT UP THE NAME OF JESUS. |
| IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt | 1 | DOMESTIC PROGRAMS THE CROSS TRAINING SPORTS CAMPS MINISTRY ACTUALLY BEGAN AS A REQUEST FOR A WEEK LONG SPORTS CAMP TO BE HELD ON A NORTH AMERICAN INDIAN RESERVATION IN RED LODGE, MONTANA IN 2002. ONE ROTATION IS CROSS TRAINING; IN THIS GROUP CAMPERS HEAR BIBLE STORIES AND CHRISTIAN TEACHINGS. |
| IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt | 2 | INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMS AT CROSS TRAINING SPORTS CAMP, INC WE HAVE TRAVELED THE WORLD FROM AFRICA AND BOLIVIA TO CENTRAL AMERICA. THROUGH PARTNERSHIPS AND FRIENDSHIPS, WE SEEK TO EMBODY THE LOVE OF CHRIST TO EVERYONE WE MEET IN ROATAN. |
