This model is designed to enhance student learning and reading comprehension. The model uses a workshop approach for meeting the needs of all students within an integrated, inquiry-based curriculum. The model also includes reading recovery and small group interventions in grades k-3 and supplemental group interventions in grades 4-12.”

Makerspace is a concept that focuses on student centered inquiry. It is a place where students have the opportunity to explore their own interests, learn to use tools and materials and develop creative projects. 2,000 of the total award was provided to four elementary school teachers to support their use of stem (science, technology, engineering & math) within their classrooms. The grant proceeds were used for classroom supplies and materials.”

Awarded a grant of 5,000 for training of and supplies for teachers of dyslexic students. 4. Paid 1,883 to begin a patio project supported by the class of 1970. 5. Distributed 1,813 for the goodman school project. The goodman elementary school was destroyed by a tornado and contributions have been made to a fund referred to as embrace goodman. Additional funds well be distributed as the re-building project gets underway. 6. Awarded a 1,000 donation to the cats program at the high school. The cats pride program is an incentive based program that rewards students for good grades, attendance and behavior. 7. 394 was spent to repair bricks in the decorative brick fence project.”
