“Empowering families, ethnic and minority families, to access community resources, obtain documents, and receive health information to include medicaid and insurance information for healthier lifestyles; enabling families to contribute actively and productively to their communities. Hihmc is authorized and recognized to provide professional consultation and professional resources for all families and individuals of southwest missouri and beyond in 2024, and continues in more than 18 languages. (averaging 50+ inquiries per week) and face to face contacts for health/safety resources were attended (more than 1800 reached including public events) collaboration with community resources provides vaccination clinics and health risk education; health education programs for families in spanish, english, korean, ukrainian, vietnamese, swahili, burmese, chinese, latino and others. More than 75 group presentations offered in the community for uninsured and at-risk populations-health/safety, resources for basic family needs (mental health and safety, prevention of disease, diapers, food, shelter) (community health awareness projects for language specific groups. More than 17 support groups for individual adult education for mental and physical health and safety, domestic violence, suicide risks, resources provided, family challenges, and presentation of public service announcements, domestic violence/sexual assault community resources and partnering with community organizations for all resources requested as needed in spanish, romanian, burmese, filipino, congolese, and vietnamese online and facebook presentations in native language.
