“Pt. III - Statement of Program Accomplishments - TPPP's Board took on the significant task of revising the organization's mission, vision and values in 2020. The updated mission, vision and values clearly reflect our commitment to equity, inclusion and a positive youth development approach. The core of TPPP's mission, however, has not changed. The Teen Pregnancy & Prevention Partnership unites communities across Missouri to promote adolescent sexual and reproductive health. We welcome diverse stakeholders who share in this mission to collaborate in order to ensure young people have the resources they need to make healthy decisions. In 2020, TPPP implemented programs and activities in support of the organization's mission which reached nearly 400 individuals. This included virtual programs for professionals which expanded TPPP's impact well beyond the St. Louis region and ensured educators across the state had the skills needed to provide high quality, medically-accurate sexual health education virtually during the COVID-19 pandemic. TPPP developed a Care During COVID playlist on YouTube with interviews of providers of reproductive and mental healthcare on how to access care during COVID-19 to decrease fear, anxiety and stigma about healthcare visits now and in the future. TPPP continued to serve on the Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) education subcommittee of the Task Force on the Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse to finalize the Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Education: Missouri Guidance and Training Materials and support implementation of the requirements of Missouri Statute (RSMo) 170.045. TPPP also promoted the newly-revised National Sexuality Education Standards through informational webinars.”
