The board does not review the form 990. The executive director has the authority to sign the return. She reviews the return before mailing to irs.

Form 990, Page 6, Part VI, Line 15A

Sadi board of directors does an annual performance review of the sadi executive director at the end of the fiscal year, which covers the past year's accomplishments based on goals set forth the previous year. If satisfactory, a salary increase is based on the present and forecasted fiscal health of the organization, years of service, and the merits of the past year's accomplishments.

Form 990, Page 6, Part VI, Line 15B

The sadi board of directors has charged the sadi executive director, as part of her job, to do a performance review of key management staff, with similar benchmarks for accomplishments, years of service and forecasted fiscal health of the organization. The same salary criteria are used in performance reviews administered to all sadi staff under key management of the various departments throughout the center. Key employees and staff salaries are reviewed annually in november. Starting salaries are based on the average salaries of not for profit organizations doing similar work on both a local and statewide basis, and this research is performed annually.

Independent living program sadi is committed to providing services to persons with disabilities to enable them to remain in their own home and commuinity, and not in an institution. Services are provided in the counties of cape girardeau, perry, bollinger, scott, and mississippi. The philosophy behind independent living is that all persons, regardless of disability, are entitled to and should have equal access to the rights and responsibilities that other citizens are provided, to be active and productive members of society as they so choose. Sadi's programs focus on making choices in one's life which bring about change enabling more control to maintain independence. There are four core services: information and referral, peer support, advocact and skills training.

Sadi is a non-residential independent living center developed to provide independent living services to individuals with disabilities. Sadi endeavors to encourage and assist persons with disabilities to achieve control over their lives. Individuals are empowered to choose feasible options that minimize dependence and increase independence in the performance of daily activities and the use of assistive technology.
