“Burrell foundation is an organization established for the following purposes. 1. To increase awareness and sensitivity of the community to mental health and related matters(e g. Public awareness programs, professional speakers, national symposia, etc) 2. To develop, market, and distribute educational materials and therapeutic aides such as books, audio tapes, and video tapes (e g. Interactive video for treatment of phobias, various anxiety disorders, marital difficulties, etc.) 3. To provide scholarships and education stipends, particularly to area students and employees of burrell behavioral health. 4. To fund and carry out research through burrell behavioral health in the areas of applied behavioral sciences. 5. To underwrite initial start-up costs of selected new and innovative services at burrell behavioral health. 6. To fund capital expenditures and on-going operations for burrell behavioral health utilizing only funding specifically raised for that purpose. 7. To do those things necessary, to bring together under burrell behavioral health the best technology and professional talent available for the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of pyschiatric illnesses and the promotion of wellness through behavioral health services those steps necessary to make burrell a nationally recognized leader in behavioral health services, and 8. To carry out fundraising for all the above purposes.”

“To raise funds for burrell, inc., an entity which provides psychiatric or psychological treatment for individuals, groups and families as well as transitional services for those released from mental institutions and community services.”
