(50%) THE FOUNDATION WORKED WITH THE CDC TO SUPPORT PUBLIC HEALTH INTERESTS BY TRAINING 14 REPRESENTATIVES FROM LOCAL ST. LOUIS COMPANIES ON THE NEW WORK@HEALTH CERTIFICATION PROGRAM, A SCIENCE-BASED CURRICULUM THAT PROVIDES EMPLOYERS WITH THE SKILLS TO IMPLEMENT A COMPREHENSIVE WORKSITE WELLNESS PROGRAM USING INTERVENTIONS THAT PRINCIPALLY ADDRESS CHRONIC HEALTH CONDITIONS. THE FOUNDATION ALSO PARTICIPATED IN STRATEGIC PLANNING PROCESSES OF LOCAL HEALTH AGENICES AS WELL AS DEVELOPED MATERIALS AND ENGAGED WITH CONSUMERS TO HELP THEM USE RESOURCES TO MAKE BETTER, MORE INFORMED HEALTH CARE DECISIONS. THE FOUNDATION DISTRIBUTED OVER 5,000 COLD AND FLU TREATMENT KITS AND EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS TO LOCAL EMPLOYEES AS PART OF THE ANTIBIOTIC RESISTANCE CAN HARM (ARCH) INITIATIVE, AIMING TO DECREASE ANTIMICROBIAL MISUSE IN THE ST. LOUIS COMMUNITY.DURING THE YEAR THE ORGANIZATION REPRESENTED PURCHASERS TO THE NATIONAL QUALITY FORUM, THE NATIONAL COMMITTEE FOR QUALITY ASSURANCE, THE MATERNAL CHILD AND FAMILY HEALTH COALITION, AND OTHER HEALTH RELATED NON-PROFITS.
