The organization had a name change during the year; therefore, all by-laws that previously stated southeast missouri area agency on aging now state aging matters. Article ii, section 1, part (g) previously read: if a member of the board misses three (3) meetings per calendar year for reasons other than illness or to care for a close family member, the board member will be notified in writing that he or she has been removed from the board. Unusual cases shall be handled on an individual basis and determined by the governance committee and/or the board of directors. Article ii, section 1, part (g) now reads: (g)if a member of the board misses three (3) meetings per calendar year for reasons other than illness or to care for a close family member, the board member to determine their interest in continuing to serve on the board. Mail, addressed to the current business address of the southeast missouri area agency on aging and postmarked no later than midnight august 1st of the election year. Article ii, section 2, part (b)(2) now reads: the statement of intent must be received at the aging matters current business address no later than the close of business on august 1 of the election year. If august 1 falls on saturday or sunday, the statement of intent will be accepted at close of business day on the monday immediately following. Article ii, section 2, part (c) previously read: the executive director shall cause to be published in the agency newsletter in the month of august a list by counties of timely applications for candidacy. The names of candidates by county shall be published in alphabetical order. Article ii, section 2, part (c) now reads: the executive director shall publish in the agency newsletter in august a list of candidates for the board of directors. Article ii, section 2, part (d)(1) previously read: elections for expiring terms of office for the agency' s board of directors shall be held on the first tuesday after the first monday in september. Article iv, section 4 previously read: any vacancy on the executive committee other than the chairman shall be filled by the board of directors.
