“Alpha sigma tau provides each member with opportunities to build a fun social network and an important professional network through our growing membership. Alpha sigma tau provides each member with leadership opportunities and training through chapter and college panhellic officer roles. As alumnae those roles continue with leadership positions with the national organization, in alumnae panhellenic associations, or with local alumnae associations.”
“Election of officers. Officers will each be elected by a majority vote of the convention. The elections will be by ballot, except in those offices where the number of nominees equals the number of positions available, the nominee(s) will be declared elected. The voting body of the national convention will consist of the national council, national panhellenic delegate and alternate delegates, past national presidents, volunteer personnel, chairs of standing committees, one delegate from each eligible colony, one delegate from each eligible collegiate chapter, one delegate from each eligible alumnae chapter, one delegate from each eligible alumnae association, and one advisor delegate from each collegiate alumnae advisory board.”
“The form 990 will be available electronically for all national council members to review.”
“Members, volunteers or employees must immediately disclose any actual, potential, or apparent conflicts of interest situations to the national council, who will be responsible for resolving those situations and reporting the resolutions, and who will report on the resolutions in the minutes of national council for the meeting at which it was discussed. The sorority's legal council may be sought for an opinion that is consistent with this policy and all federal and state laws. Alpha sigma tau sorority requires that a member recuse herself from the discussion and vote regarding issues to be voted upon by the national council or a committee in which a member has an outside relationship, vested interest, or could benefit from financially or personally.”

“Mindwise seventy-five percent of behavioral health conditions are diagnosed by the age of 24. Initial symptoms often appear during the college years, when exploratory behaviors with substances and alcohol also begin. The college years are an exciting time of personal growth, but they can also bring academic, social, and financial pressures, which can worsen underlying mental health and substance use issues. By taking a brief mindwise screening, students can learn if they have a behavioral health issue and learn signs and symptoms. Behavioral health which includes mental health, substance use, and more is a key part of your overall well-being. Brief screenings are the quickest way to determine if you or someone you care about should connect with a behavioral health professional. Think of these as a checkup from your neck up. This program is completely anonymous and confidential, and immediately following the brief questionnaire you will see your results, recommendations, and key resources. New and collegiate members can take the screening on their phone, a laptop, or tablet anonymously and from the privacy of their own residence hall room. Because of this, mindwise screenings reach students who might be hesitant to contact a college counselor or therapist directly. “Accounting principles generally accepted in the united states of america require management to evaluate tax positions taken by the sorority and recognize a tax liability if the sorority has taken an uncertain position that more likely than not would not be sustained upon examination by various federal and state taxing authorities. Management has analyzed the tax positions taken by the sorority, and has concluded that as of may 31, 2025 and 2024, there are no uncertain positions taken or expected to be taken that would require recognition of a liability or disclosure in the accompanying financial statements. The sorority has filed its federal and state income tax returns for periods through may 31, 2024 and is subject to routine audits by taxing jurisdictions. However, as of the date the financial statements were available to be issued, there were no audits for any tax periods in progress. These income tax returns are generally open to examination by the relevant taxing authorities for a period of three years from the later of the date the return was filed or its due date (including approved extensions).”

THESE INCOME TAX RETURNS ARE GENERALLY OPEN TO EXAMINATION BY THE RELEVANT TAXING AUTHORITIES FOR A PERIOD OF THREE YEARS FROM THE LATER OF THE DATE THE RETURN WAS FILED OR ITS DUE DATE (INCLUDING APPROVED EXTENSIONS). |
