Mission

Downtown stl, inc's mission is to be a catalyst for economic development, residential growth and place-making such that the 2.8 million people in the metropolitan statistical area are engaged in downtown; have a positive perception of downtown; consider downtown a destination for dining, entertainment and culture; and advocate for investment in downtown and promote it as a positive destination.

The partnership for downtown st. Louis represents its members in pursuit of a healthy and vital downtown. The partnership is a leadership organization addressing planning, legislation, transportation, economic development, and numerous public and private initiatives that strengthen the business and residential community, improve the physical environment and enhance the image of downtown st. Louis, missouri.

Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

The organization is exempt from federal income taxes under section 501(c)(6) of the internal revenue code and similar provisions of state law. The organization files federal information returns. The statutes of limitations for information returns filed for the tax years ended june 30, 2011 through 2013 have not expired and therefore are subject to examination. The financial accounting standards board (fasb) issued accounting standards codification (asc) section 740-10 (formerly known as fasb interpretation no. 48), accounting for uncertainty in income taxes - an interpretation of fasb no. 109. This interpretation clarifies the accounting for income taxes by prescribing the minimum standard a tax position is required to meet before being recognized in the financial statements. The organization has not taken any uncertain tax positions that should be accounted for under asc section 740-10.
