“In the eleventh full year of operation for the licking united community help center, an average of 246 people each month of 2018 were able to be helped. The number of households served for 2018 was 1509. Many people continue to require assistance from the center. With the assistance of cash and noncash donations(including food drives) from individuals,community organizations,churches, businesses,schools and businesses,the center reached out to a variety of individuals in various circumstances to provide food/clothing on a continuing and/or emergency basis. Home deliveries are made to approximately 30 homebound individuals each month. Thanksgiving turkeys and christmas hams were provided to many needy families. The center also provides emergency provisions on as needed basis to individuals. The center received a large one-time cash donation in november 2018 from a local nonprofit organization which had provided communication services to the rural area. The entity was liquidated and contributed part of its assets to various local tax exempt organizations. Schedule b is provided with the detail. The center also operates a thrift center, which receives noncash items for resale in order for such proceeds to be used for its programs. Many personal clothing needs are met in the community by the operation of this thrift center. The center is operated on a purely volunteer basis, with the help of approximately 20 individuals. These individuals provided over 19500 volunteer hours in 2018. The center expanded its community outreach in 2018 by working with the local school district to establish a scholarship fund. Two 1000 each scholarship funds were provided to qualified recipients in 2018. In addition, other local donations were made in smaller amounts to the community school for a boys' state program and other school activities.the center wants to maintain its mission of assistance to the local community needs on a variety of levels and give back to the community it serves.”

AN ESTIMATED VALUE OF THESE DONATED ITEMS IS INCLUDED IN LINE 1 AS CONTRIBUTIONS AND THE REMAINDER OF THE SALES AMOUNTS ARE REPORTED AS THRIFT SHOP SALES IN THE PROGRAM SERVICE REVENUE AREA. FOOD DISTRIBUTION IS AVAILABLE AT THE CENTER'S FACILITY FOR QUALIFYING INDIVIDUALS AND HOMEBOUND INDIVIDUALS ALSO RECEIVE DISTRIBUTION OF GOODS. THE CENTER IS OPERATED ON A STRICT VOLUNTEER BASIS. |

THE NUMBER OF HOUSEHOLDS SERVED FOR 2018 WAS 1509. MANY PEOPLE CONTINUE TO REQUIRE ASSISTANCE FROM THE CENTER. WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF CASH AND NONCASH DONATIONS(INCLUDING FOOD DRIVES) FROM INDIVIDUALS,COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS,CHURCHES, BUSINESSES,SCHOOLS AND BUSINESSES,THE CENTER REACHED OUT TO A VARIETY OF INDIVIDUALS IN VARIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES TO PROVIDE FOOD/CLOTHING ON A CONTINUING AND/OR EMERGENCY BASIS. HOME DELIVERIES ARE MADE TO APPROXIMATELY 30 HOMEBOUND INDIVIDUALS EACH MONTH. THANKSGIVING TURKEYS AND CHRISTMAS HAMS WERE PROVIDED TO MANY NEEDY FAMILIES. THE CENTER ALSO PROVIDES EMERGENCY PROVISIONS ON AS NEEDED BASIS TO INDIVIDUALS. THE CENTER RECEIVED A LARGE ONE-TIME CASH DONATION IN NOVEMBER 2018 FROM A LOCAL NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION WHICH HAD PROVIDED COMMUNICATION SERVICES TO THE RURAL AREA. THE ENTITY WAS LIQUIDATED AND CONTRIBUTED PART OF ITS ASSETS TO VARIOUS LOCAL TAX EXEMPT ORGANIZATIONS. SCHEDULE B IS PROVIDED WITH THE DETAIL. THE CENTER ALSO OPERATES A THRIFT CENTER, WHICH RECEIVES NONCASH ITEMS FOR RESALE IN ORDER FOR SUCH PROCEEDS TO BE USED FOR ITS PROGRAMS. MANY PERSONAL CLOTHING NEEDS ARE MET IN THE COMMUNITY BY THE OPERATION OF THIS THRIFT CENTER. THE CENTER IS OPERATED ON A PURELY VOLUNTEER BASIS, WITH THE HELP OF APPROXIMATELY 20 INDIVIDUALS. THESE INDIVIDUALS PROVIDED OVER 19500 VOLUNTEER HOURS IN 2018. THE CENTER EXPANDED ITS COMMUNITY OUTREACH IN 2018 BY WORKING WITH THE LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICT TO ESTABLISH A SCHOLARSHIP FUND. TWO 1000 EACH SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS WERE PROVIDED TO QUALIFIED RECIPIENTS IN 2018. IN ADDITION, OTHER LOCAL DONATIONS WERE MADE IN SMALLER AMOUNTS TO THE COMMUNITY SCHOOL FOR A BOYS' STATE PROGRAM AND OTHER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES.THE CENTER WANTS TO MAINTAIN ITS MISSION OF ASSISTANCE TO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY NEEDS ON A VARIETY OF LEVELS AND GIVE BACK TO THE COMMUNITY IT SERVES. |
