Profile

An independently and locally governed non-profit organization; national cave and karst research institute ("nckri", or the organization") was incorporated as a tax-exempt nonprofit organization in the state of new mexico in 2005 and is primarily and directly responsible for its own operations. Nckri's enabling legislation is the national cave and karst research institute act of 1998, 16 u.s.c. S4310. Federal and state funding for nckri programs is administered by the new mexico institute of mining and technology (nmt). Funding not produced by agreements with nmt is accepted directly by nckri.
