“990 ez, part iii line 28 isuroon led an investigation by hosting 14 focus groups of 10 women each for a total of 140 somali women. Isuroon also developed culturally-specific video in the somali language breast cancer. We reached 235 for cancer education. Vitamin d and mental health: isuroon held workshops in the somali language addressing low vitamin d and the risk of depression.these workshops educated over 460 women. Isuroon collaborated with the minneapolis department of health to understand the risks of food poisoning in the somali community. Isuroon reached 40 women to understand how they prepared their meat and also to share information about preventing food poisoning and types of foodborne illnesses. Isuroon conducted a cultural competence lunch lecture for 1st and 2nd year university of minnesota medical school students. Isuroon delivered four of these workshops in 2014 reaching 380 medical school students. Isuroon organized the center for urban studies (cura)-funded somali elder ethnic food shelf.a total of 311 elders have been engaged and an elder advisory committee has been established.”
