“Iba online job bank: the free iba job bank is an online exchange of employment opportunities available at member radio and television stations throughout the state of iowa, as well as resume postings and listings for job seekers. The iba job bank is available on the iba web site and is one of the electronic recruitment resources for iowa broadcasting. Employers and recruiters can access a qualified talent pool with relevant work experience to fulfill their staffing needs. The iba online job bank offers members a way to fill job openings and fulfill their eeo outreach requirements by targeting their recruiting and reaching a qualified and diverse pool of candidates quickly and easily. In addition, resumes are posted free of charge for applicants and job seekers looking for employment at iowa radio and television stations. Each listing is posted for approximately 90 days or until a opening has been filled. Iba job bank postings are for equal opportunity employers. Approximately 180 served. Over 192 job listings and situations wanted posted during 2018. The iba web site had over 6,600 visitors generating 17,000 sessions and 42,693 page views.”

“Iba legal hotlines: the iba provides its members with a free iowa and washington legal hotline. If stations have general business related questions, or broadcast specific legal and/or regulatory questions. Member radio and television stations have reliable accessible and prompt legal counsel at their fingertips. Iba retains the services of the davis brown law firm in des moines and the wilkinson barker knauer law firm in washington, dc. All member radio/tv stations are able to use these two legal services free of charge. Stations can have their questions answered by one of our three communications attorneys at no cost, as long as the questions can be answered with out independent research or investigation. The iowa and washington legal hotlines are paid for by the iowa broadcasters association. The lawyer- client relationship is between the broadcaster and the law firms and iba has no liability for actions taken by attorneys providing the service. Legal advice is not provided in disputes between iba member stations or in matters which would create a professional conflict of interest. Approximately 200 members served.”

“Iba summer convention and sales seminar: held for one full day in june, the iba summer convention and sales seminars offer general educational broadcast training seminars, programming workshops and professional training sessions for all attendees. Nationally known speakers and trainers are brought in each year, along with legal and regulatory experts. As a part of the summer convention, the annual iba awards luncheon recognizes state broadcasters through the iowa broadcaster of the year award, iba hall of fame inductees and media student scholarship recipients. The summer convention agenda and registration materials are mailed to all iowa radio and television stations and provide specific dates, times and registration fees. Approximately 100-250 people served.”
