The draft form 990 is presented to the board of directors for review and comment prior to the filing of the form 990 with the internal revenue service. This is either done in person or via email, with sufficient time for review and comment prior to the filing of the form 990 with the internal revenue service.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 12C

Members of the board of directors are presented annually with the conflict of interest policy and are required to sign a statement regarding their potential conflicts or lack thereof. All conflicts are identified and presented to the entire board of directors. Transactions that my be conflicts of interest are reviewed by the compliance officer to determine their status.

The salary for the president/ceo is reviewed on an annual basis by the board of directors. A comparison of salaries for comparable individuals in the geographic area is made along with a detail of the history of salary increases for the position within the organization. A closed session of a meeting of the board of directors is held to discuss the performance and salary review. Any changes in salary for the president/ceo is made during the open session of the meeting of the board of directors. All documentation of comparison is maintained along with the record of the motion and vote for salary adjustments.

The organization has adopted the accounting standard regarding "accounting for uncertain tax positions." this standard provides detailed guidance for financial statement recognition, measurement, and disclosure of uncertain tax positions recognized in the entity's financial statements. It requires an entity to recognize the financial statement benefit of a tax position when it is more likely than not that the position will be sustained upon examination. The adoption of this standard had no material effect on the organization's financial position, results of operations, or cash flow.

WE CONTINUE TO EMBRACE OUR COMMITMENT OF CHARITY BY PROVIDING ASSISTANCE TO INDIVIDUALS IN OUR ASSISTED LIVING PROGRAMS WHO DO NOT HAVE THE RESOURCES TO PAY FOR THE SERVICES PROVIDED. THIS IS DONE THROUGH OUR ACTS FUND, THROUGH WHICH WE SERVE APPROXIMATELY 16 PERSONS DURING THE YEAR. WE CONTINUE TO LOOK FOR WAYS TO IMPROVE OUR DELIVERY OF SERVICES TO EMPHASIZE THE RESIDENT CENTERED CARE THAT FOCUSES ON RESIDENT PREFERENCES JUST AS THEY WOULD EXPECT IN THEIR OWN HOME.
