“NCSEA has an Executive Committee of the Board, consisting of the President, President-Elect, Immediate Past President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Except as otherwise provided by the Bylaws, the Executive Committee shall have the power to transact the business of the Board between meetings of the Board and other such duties as the Board so directs unless by vote of the Board, the Board specifically reserves the power to take a specific action. In the event that the Board specifically reserves power to take specific actions, such reservations shall be in writing and shall be recorded in the Policy Manual, maintained as provided by the Bylaws.”

“The Association utilizes the services of a management firm, MCI-USA("MCI"). Management fees represent amounts paid to MCI under the terms of an agreement for management services, office space, equipment, and other resources. Management fees totaled $456,084 for the year ended December 31, 2024. The Association's Executive Director is an employee of and was compensated by MCI.”

“Membership is voluntary and open to any eligible person or organization interested in furthering the purposes of the Association.”

“Members elect the Board.”

“Any member of the Association may propose a resolution for consideration by the Board. The Association Bylaws may be amended or repealed by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the Association's members voting on the proposed changes to the Bylaws.”

“A copy of the Form 990 is sent to the Board for review prior to filing. Comments and questions must be returned within five business days.”

“The Conflict of Interest Policy is outlined in the NCSEA Board Policy Manual which is housed on the Board of Director's governance portal and referenced regularly at every year's summer Board Meeting. In addition, every year each member of the Board signs a "Board Commitment" form which outlines the directors' fiduciary and legal responsibilities, including that to disclose potential conflicts of interest.”

“The Association's governing documents are available to the public upon request.”

“Our Mission: NCSEA serves child support professionals, agencies, and strategic partners worldwide through professional development, communications, public awareness, and advocacy to enhance the financial, medical and emotional support that parents provide for their children. Our Values: It is our fundamental belief that both parents are responsible for the emotional and financial support of their children. We believe that the best interests of the children come first and individual interests should be secondary when parental or professional interests differ.”
