Innercity tennis foundation (ict), founded in 1952, is on a mission to unleash and develop the potential of youth on and off the tennis court by engaging and serving a supportive community. “The foundation's conflict of interest policy covers directors, officers and any employees who may influence the actions of the foundation. Board members are required to disclose any conflicts of interests annually at the december board meeting. A conflict of interest policy and statement is distributed to the board in conjunction with the board meeting. Board members and officers sign and return the statement to the executive director on behalf of the board. The board, or a duly constituted committee thereof, shall determine if a conflict exists and, in the case of an existing conflict, whether the contemplated transaction may be authorized as just, fair, and reasonable to the foundation. Individuals with a conflict of interest may not participate in the discussion nor the approval of the transaction. All proceedings related to conflicts of interest are documented in the meeting minutes.”

RESEARCH INDICATES THAT PHYSICALLY ACTIVE YOUTH ARE LESS LIKELY TO ENGAGE IN RISKY BEHAVIORS, WHILE STRONG MENTORING RELATIONSHIPS AND A SENSE OF BELONGING ENHANCE ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT, EMOTIONAL WELL-BEING, AND REDUCE DELINQUENCY. THESE FACTORS COLLECTIVELY CONTRIBUTE TO DECREASED VIOLENCE BY ALLEVIATING STRESS, PROMOTING CONFLICT RESOLUTION SKILLS, AND FOSTERING POSITIVE SOCIAL CONNECTIONS.OUR FLAGSHIP YOUTH TENNIS PROGRAMS INCLUDE:TENNIS IN THE SCHOOLS: THIS PROGRAM OFFERS TOP-TIER YOUTH DEVELOPMENT THROUGH TENNIS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH MINNEAPOLIS SCHOOLS AND OTHER ORGANIZATIONS AT NO COST.
