To improve patient safety and quality-of-care through the coordination of patient care by securely exchanging information across the broad spectrum of persons and institutions delivering healthcare to the individual patient.

Hawai'i health information exchange is the state's designated entity for health data exchange. We provide the technology, technical expertise, and governance that enables health care providers and stakeholders to share and access complete health data, resulting in an improved quality of life for hawaii's people and lower health care costs for all.

The form 990 was reviewed by the finance committee, ceo and cfo. A copy of the form 990 was provided to the board prior to filing and will be reviewed at the next board meeting.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12C

According to the procedures mentioned in hhie's conflict of interest policy: 1. The policy is reviewed annually. 2. Approved policy is announced to all staff and saved in the shared network. 3. The policy contains detailed procedures from determining existence of conflict to resolutions and proceedings if any. 4. The compliance officer is responsible in disclosing any conflict of interest from an interested person to the legal policy committee. 5. Legal policy committee determines whether a conflict exists. 6. Any existing conflicts are addressed and resolved at the board committee. 7. A statement is signed by interested person.

Line 15a: in determining compensation of the chief executive officer, the company has a process where the board of directors review and approve the compensation. The procedures include the following elements: 1. Persons with a potential conflict of interest with respect to the compensation arrangement are not involved. 2. Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

U.s. Gaap requires uncertain tax positions to be recognized in the financial statements if they are more likely than not to fail upon regulatory examination. Management evaluated hhie's tax positions as of june 30, 2024 and 2023, and for the years then ended, and determined that hhie had no uncertain tax positions required to be reported in accordance with u.s. Gaap. Hhie is subject to routine audits by taxing jurisdictions; however, there are currently no audits in progress for any open tax periods.
