“Musicians in debut international (midi) mission is to host international piano competitions for young pianists from around the world with promise of important careers in music. International piano-e-competition (for pianists ages 32 and under) and e-piano junior competition (for pianists ages 17 and under) is an event of the highest artistic quality and integrity that provides young musicians with exposure to the musical community locally, and internationally, through the use of the internet. The competition performances, free and open to the public, add to the rich tapestry of the cultural activities of minnesota.”

“After the successful completion of the covid-style 2021 event, where all contestants were presented to the judges virtually, the competition took a break, as the world was emerging from the hiatus. The competition is currently reevaluating the program format and redefining long standing collaborations as well as exploring the possibilities of new partnerships. Traditionally, even years are the planning period for the e-piano junior competition that would take place in the odd years (2025). Due to structural changes from yamaha, who provides the majority of technical support during preliminaries and the live competition, we have been advised to delay the planning of the next competition for the future.”
