Financial Statement Notes

PART III, LINE 1A:

The collections, which were acquired through purchases and contributions since the organization's inception, are not recognized as assets on the statements of financial position. Purchases of collection items are recorded as decreases in unrestricted net assets in the year in which the items are acquired, or decreases in donor restricted net assets if the assets used to purchase the items are restricted by donors. Contributed collection items are not reflected on the financial statements. Proceeds from deaccessions or insurance recoveries are reflected as increases in the appropriate net asset classes. The organization's collections are made up of works of art that are held for public exhibition, educational and research purposes. Each of the items is protected, kept unencumbered, cared for, and preserved and activities verifying their existence and assessing their condition are performed continuously. Should a donated object of art ever be sold, all proceeds must be used to repair, preserve or purchase other pieces of art.

PART III, LINE 4:

The art collection consists of a small number of donated paintings, prints, and weavings that will be exhibited, preserved, and represented as part of the mission to provide opportunities for creative exploration, arts education, and enjoyment of the arts.

PART IV, LINE 2B:

Paramount center for the arts is a fiscal agent for the downtown st cloud super art crawl, the fred yiran african arts day, the mississippi strings camp, and the art crawl reserve fund.

PART X, LINE 2:

The organization is required to assess whether any uncertain tax positions exist and if there should be recognition of a related benefit or liability in the financial statements. The organization has determined there are no amounts to record as assets or liabilities related to uncertain tax positions.
