“Prince of peace senior living is a non-profit organization committed to providing senior christian housing at market rate. This year poprl finished with 100% occupancy with 23 people on the waiting list. Our goal is to fund general operations out of the annual budget and additional equipment and/or unbudgeted projects are paid for out of donations or grant funds. Staffing has been one of our biggest struggles the past 2 years. The kitchen/housekeeping staff continued with additional housekeeping practices to keep areas sanitary and safe. The resident services specialist member has been able to bring back all of our activities along with additional options and entertainment safely while also taking extra cleaning precautions. Our rss, had a successful popcorn fundraiser that provided funding to purchase a popcorn machine, stand, and popcorn for residents to enjoy on movie days. The food program has remained the same being offered 5 days a week, monday through friday, holidays included. We have been able to serve all of our meals in the dining room only delivering to those who are ill. The "sweet shoppe" that offers breakfast items at a nominal fee (ala carte) is open monday through friday and is a charge only option to prevent any handling of cash. Other services ala carte (general housekeeping and linen service ( did not see an increase, but we did add in a handyman service option. Adara home health care discontinued our relationship offering free weekly blood pressure checks to our resdients. With this, we have had retired nurses volunteering to come in weekly to offer these. Residents who need health services contract separately through which ever home health care service they choose and set up on their own. In 2024, we completed a few maintenance projects. We replaced 50 slider window in the apartments that are in the north and south neighborhoods that are part of the original 1995 building. This job was completed by sjm constructions. The east neighborhoods were built in 2020 and have newer windows. The second item we tackled was a drainage issue on the south west-facing side where the garages (1-14) are located. We worked with hjerpe contracting to create a proper drainage system in order to keep water from pooling in the area.”

STAFFING HAS BEEN ONE OF OUR BIGGEST STRUGGLES THE PAST 2 YEARS. THE KITCHEN/HOUSEKEEPING STAFF CONTINUED WITH ADDITIONAL HOUSEKEEPING PRACTICES TO KEEP AREAS SANITARY AND SAFE. THE RESIDENT SERVICES SPECIALIST MEMBER HAS BEEN ABLE TO BRING BACK ALL OF OUR ACTIVITIES ALONG WITH ADDITIONAL OPTIONS AND ENTERTAINMENT SAFELY WHILE ALSO TAKING EXTRA CLEANING PRECAUTIONS. OUR RSS, HAD A SUCCESSFUL POPCORN FUNDRAISER THAT PROVIDED FUNDING TO PURCHASE A POPCORN MACHINE, STAND, AND POPCORN FOR RESIDENTS TO ENJOY ON MOVIE DAYS. THE FOOD PROGRAM HAS REMAINED THE SAME BEING OFFERED 5 DAYS A WEEK, MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY, HOLIDAYS INCLUDED. WE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO SERVE ALL OF OUR MEALS IN THE DINING ROOM ONLY DELIVERING TO THOSE WHO ARE ILL. THE "SWEET SHOPPE" THAT OFFERS BREAKFAST ITEMS AT A NOMINAL FEE (ALA CARTE) IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY AND IS A CHARGE ONLY OPTION TO PREVENT ANY HANDLING OF CASH. OTHER SERVICES ALA CARTE (GENERAL HOUSEKEEPING AND LINEN SERVICE ( DID NOT SEE AN INCREASE, BUT WE DID ADD IN A HANDYMAN SERVICE OPTION. ADARA HOME HEALTH CARE DISCONTINUED OUR RELATIONSHIP OFFERING FREE WEEKLY BLOOD PRESSURE CHECKS TO OUR RESDIENTS. WITH THIS, WE HAVE HAD RETIRED NURSES VOLUNTEERING TO COME IN WEEKLY TO OFFER THESE. RESIDENTS WHO NEED HEALTH SERVICES CONTRACT SEPARATELY THROUGH WHICH EVER HOME HEALTH CARE SERVICE THEY CHOOSE AND SET UP ON THEIR OWN. IN 2024, WE COMPLETED A FEW MAINTENANCE PROJECTS. WE REPLACED 50 SLIDER WINDOW IN THE APARTMENTS THAT ARE IN THE NORTH AND SOUTH NEIGHBORHOODS THAT ARE PART OF THE ORIGINAL 1995 BUILDING. THIS JOB WAS COMPLETED BY SJM CONSTRUCTIONS. THE EAST NEIGHBORHOODS WERE BUILT IN 2020 AND HAVE NEWER WINDOWS. THE SECOND ITEM WE TACKLED WAS A DRAINAGE ISSUE ON THE SOUTH WEST-FACING SIDE WHERE THE GARAGES (1-14) ARE LOCATED. WE WORKED WITH HJERPE CONTRACTING TO CREATE A PROPER DRAINAGE SYSTEM IN ORDER TO KEEP WATER FROM POOLING IN THE AREA. |
