The sole program is St. Mary's Health Clinics, through these clinics primary health care services are provided to the poor and medically underserved population. The clinic services are free and clinics themselves are nondenominational. Eleven clinic sessions a week are in operation throughout the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area. The clinics serve low income individuals and families who are without medical coverage and ineligible for government subsidy programs. Clinic staff work with hospitals, physicians and pharmacies to provide additional health care services when needed. These services are also paid for by the organization where the individual cannot afford them and other resources are not available. The central office staff provides administration and coordination. In addition, the central office screens patients to ensure they are not eligible for other health coverage and assists patients to enroll in various programs if they are eligible.

St. Mary's Health Clinics follows guidelines in the income tax standard regarding the recognition of uncertain tax positions. The guidance prescribes recognition threshold principles for the financial statement recognition of tax position taken or expected to be taken on tax filings that are not certain to be realized. SMHC is not aware of any activities that would jeopardize it tax exemption.

IRS990/MissionDesc0The sole program is St. Mary's Health Clinics, through these clinics primary health care services are provided to the poor and medically underserved population. The clinic services are free and clinics themselves are nondenominational. Eleven clinic sessions a week are in operation throughout the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area. The clinics serve low income individuals and families who are without medical coverage and ineligible for government subsidy programs. Clinic staff work with hospitals, physicians and pharmacies to provide additional health care services when needed. These services are also paid for by the organization where the individual cannot afford them and other resources are not available. The central office staff provides administration and coordination. In addition, the central office screens patients to ensure they are not eligible for other health coverage and assists patients to enroll in various programs if they are eligible.
