Mission
Southeast asian refugee community home's (search) mission is to assist newly arrived immigrants and refugees in becoming contributing members of their community. Key organizational goals include meeting participants' basic settlement needs; improving participants' economic well-being; and helping youth and families participate more fully in american society.
Major Activities
- Activity 2
- Immigrant youth intervention services - search assists at-risk school and juvenile court referred immigrant youth ages 12-17 turn their lives around via relationship and culturally-based case management, employment/career development and parent support services. The program saves tax payer dollars by preventing costly out-of-home placements and a deeper involvement with the correctional system. The program is funded by a combination of government contracts and local foundations. In 2010, the main funding source for this program ended resulting in the decrease in the program size and eventual suspension of the program in 2011.

- Refugee social services - refugee social services provides comprehensive case management services to refugees who have been in the u.s. For five or fewer years. The objective of the program is to help refugees with their basic human needs by providing case management and navigation services (e.g. Interpretation and translation) that connect refugees to a myriad of support services. The program is funded by a combination of government contracts and local foundations.
