Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

Beacon, fmf housing and riverview are exempt from income taxes under internal revenue code section 501(c)(3) and applicable minnesota statutes, except to the extent they have taxable income from businesses that are not related to their exempt purpose. Activities generating unrelated business income consist of income from commercial leasing. The wholly owned llcs and the limited partnerships are not taxable entities. Income or losses are passed through to the partners or members. Management believes beacon and related entities do not have any uncertain income tax positions.
