IRS990/Desc0Bridging provides families and individuals who are pursuing stable housing with quality furniture and household goods to stabilize and improve lives while effectively using community resources. Bridging serves more than 4,000 client households per year; nearly half of the people served are children. In 2020, Bridging served it's 100,000th household (over 300,000 people served) since opening in 1987. Through its two warehouse locations in the Twin Cities, Bridging serves clients primarily in the seven-county metro area with a dedicated team of 34 staff members and approximately 5,000 volunteers. Through the power of recycling, Bridging is able to keep approximately 10-11 millions of pounds of items out of the waste stream each year by distributing these items to clients or passing them along to other nonprofits and organizations that can use them.
