Part III, Line 4D

“CGSI secured the rights to digitize, copy, distribute, publish, and display all issues of Denní Hlasatel from 1891-2006 making it the longest-running Czech serial in the world. Images from 1891-1941 are in process of being published on our website, CGSI.org accessible to all members. Currently, 29 of the first 50 years of publication have been published on the website, with the remaining 31 years targeted to be completed by December 31, 2025. CGSI held a Genealogy and Cultural Symposium April 20-21, 2024 at the National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library in Cedar Rapids, Iowa titled: "Forgotten Czech, Slovak & Carptho-Rusyn Heros." The two day event attended by over 70 participants included more than fourteen speakers covering a variety of topics on the them, including updates on the CGSI Cemeteries Project, how to use obituaries in genealogy, and five "How I Did It" personal accounts by CGSI members. The event was followed by a Strategic Planning exercise with CGSI officers, executive committee, board of directors and key members to review the organization and facilitate discussions to develop a roadmap for CGSI's future success.”
