Mission and Program Overview

Mission

Neda is a nonprofit community development corporation whose mission is to strengthen the vitality of low-income neighborhoods within the city of st. Paul, by creating and preserving housing and business opportunities for residents of all income levels. Neda has expanded that mission to serve the 7-county metro area - with a focus in minneapolis and st. Paul - in regards to its homeownership counseling and financial literacy programs.

PART X, LINE 2:

Neda is classified as a tax-exempt organization under minnesota statute 290.05 and section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code and is exempt from private foundation status under section 509(a)(1) of the internal revenue code, except to the extent it has taxable income from businesses that are not related to its exempt purpose. Management believes neda did not have any uncertain income tax positions or unrelated business income. The terraces, llc, neda centro de finanzas, and stryker senior housing, llc are wholly owned llc's and are therefore disregarded for tax purposes and included in the return of neda.
