A member in good standing is defined as a person holding a current membership who abides by the articles of incorporation, the bylaws, the mission, goals and objectives and follows the mdha code of ethics.

A copy of the conflict of interest bylaw is furnished to each director, officer and senior staff member who is presently serving mdha, or who may become associated with mdha. The policy is reviewed annually. Any new directors, officers or staff members shall be advised of the policy upon undertaking the duties of such office. The minutes of the meeting of the board or committee shall reflect when a conflict of interest was disclosed and that the interested person was not present during the final discussion or vote and did not vote. When there is doubt as to whter a conflict of interest exists, the matter shall be resolved by a vote of the board of cirectors or its committee, excluding the person concerning whose situation the doubt has arisen.
