Activity 2

Sceic, inc. Operates a program called "stevens forward". Stevens forward is a countrywide activity made up of numerous groups and individuals working with one another in community development efforts. Stevens forward is also an effort with the county, the five incorporated cities, and the sixteen townships in the county to ensure a successful future for our county's communities. The 14 goals of stevens forward are in economic development, community diversity, k through 16 education, retirement, recreation, and the environment.

Activity 3

The project is a multi-sector, comprehensive approach to sustainable broadband adoption targeting residents, small businesses, local government, and critical service providers in rural mn. Minnesota intelligent rural communities expects to reach each of mn's 80 rural counties through education, training, technical assistance, and by removing barriers to broadband adoption. The projects will nurture & support an enhanced culture of use of broadband-based services. The eda center at the u of m-crookston will help track the impact of the project, including number of subscribers generated. Funding is provided by a grant from blandin foundation as a portion of the american recovery and reinvestment act of 2009 via the u.s. Department of commerce.
