Hawthorne Neighborhood Council sponsored community conversations to continue its exploration of "Health and Wellbeing Community Connectedness - What does safety look like in your neighborhood?" Participants heard from prior work related to fourteen neighborhoods explored the topic of Health and Wellbeing and what it means through a video. The purpose of the video is to interpret, legitimize and bring together cross-generational views of health and wellbeing.$1,500$44,269
Hawthorne and Jordan Neighborhoods finished filling out surveys with the community this past summer. We were honored to be announced the top collecting more than 500 surveys. Some neighborhoods have seen the start of new shelters with heaters and lights. Also, Hawthorne Neighborhood Council was thankful again this year to participate with Holiday on 44th, allowing us to collect items for our 3rd Annual Winter Warmth event in December.$1,000$22,818
Hawthorne and Jordan collaborated with West Broadway Business Area and Coalition this year on the flow and opens streets events and as part of our BBS events we were able to reach out to over 500 people to complete a survey. We wanted to know why it is important to ride the Bus and the safety and benefits to each neighbor. As a result of this project Metro Transit placed various bus shelters in areas in North Minneapolis that were much needed.-$19,784
