“Article iii - membership section 1. There shall be the following classes of membership: (a) regular members - any person who is duly licensed to practice law in this state, who is of good moral character and whose practice is consistent with the objectives and goals of minnesota justice, and is engaged in any field of phase or advocacy; and who is committeed and devoted to the concept of a fair trial, the adversary system and a just result for the injured, the accused, and those whose rights are jeopardized, shall be eligible for regular membership. Provided, however, that no person shall be eligble for or continue regular membership in minnesota justice who, for the most part, represent the defense of personal injury and/or employment litigation as attested by signature when applying for or renewing membership. A regular member may choose a bronze, silver, gold, platinum or sustaining membership by paying the annual dues required for the type chosen. (b) associate members - any person who is duly licensed to practice law in this state, who is of good moral character and whose practice is consistent with the objectives and goals of minnesota justice, and is devoted to the concept of a fair trial, the adversary system and a just result for the injured, the accused, and those whose rights are jeopardized and who, for the most part, represent the defense of personal injury and/or employment litigation, shall be eligible for associate membership and shall continue to be an associate member in good standing upon the payment of periodic dues and during continued adherence to the qualifications of associate membership. An associate member shall have the right and privilege to receive the minnesota justice quarterly publication and to enroll in unrestricted minnesota justice continuing legal education courses. An associate member may not join any committee, have access to any member-only service, vote or hold any office of minnesota justice. The board of governors may grant further rights and privileges to associate members by a two-thirds vote of the board of governors. (c) student members - a law student who is engaged in a course of study at a law school and who is of good moral character shall be eligible for student membership and shall continue to be a student member in good standing upon payment of periodic dues and during continued adherence to the objectives of the minesota justice. A student member shall receive benefits, rights and privileges of membership as granted by the board of governors, but such rights and privileges shall not include the right to vote or to hold any office in minnesota justice. (d) honorary membership - any person deemed by the board of governors to merit distinction as an honorary member by virtue of contributions or outstanding services made to the objectives and goals of minnesota justice shall be so designated. Section 2. There shall be the following sections of membership: (a) family law section - any member of minnesota justice who practices in the area of family law shall be eligible for membership in the family law section. Family law members shall vote to elect officers within their section and shall set policy affecting the affairs of this section. (b) new lawyer section - any member of the minnesota justice who has been in the practice of law for five years or less shall be eligible for membership in the new lawyer section. The new lawyer section shall annually, at the first meeting of the section following the annual meeting, vote to elect officers within their section and one (1) member to serve a one (1) year term as an ex-officio, non-voting member of the board of governors exempt from paying the required board dues, and shall set policy affecting the affairs of this section. (c) paralegal section - any person who is not duly licensed to practice law but who is employed by a member of minnesota justice as a paralegal shall be eligible for membership in the "paralegal section" upon pay”

“Article vi - board of governors section 4. Number, term and qualifications the number of governors shall be determined by the members at each annual meeting; provided that there shall be no less than ten (10) nor more than fifty-seven(57) members as may be determined by the membership of the board of governors from time to time or as otherwise set forth by applicable statute. Governors shall be members of minnesota justice and shall be elected at the annual meeting by a majority vote. Each governor shall be elected to serve for one (1) year or until his/her successor shall be duly elected and qualified. Governors shall be members of minnesota justice and shall agree by written declaration, prior to election, not to serve on the faculty of any legal seminar which involves the same or similar subject matter as any minnesota justice sponsored seminar within 3 months prior to or subsequent thereto without the written approval of the minnesota justice education committee during the term of service as a minnesota justice governor. No governor shall serve more than ten (10) consecutive terms. Any governor serving ten (10) consecutive years shall then become an emeritus member of the board of governors provided they are current members of the association and pay the annual dues required for board of governors membership. They shall receive the rights and benefits provided in article vi section 1.”
