Supplemental Narrative

Additional Explanations

Form 990, Part III, Line 2

In 2024, sabathani launched maternal health matters and roots: the black family foundation, two programs designed to address maternal health disparities and prevent family separation through holistic, culturally grounded support. These programs offer one-on-one care planning, home visits, and connection to resources for parents, caregivers, and young children.

Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

Sabathani community center (scc) is exempt from income taxes under internal revenue code section 501(c)(3) and applicable minnesota statutes, except to the extent it has taxable income from activities that are not related to its exempt purpose. Management believes scc did not have any unrelated business income in 2024. Management believes scc has appropriate support for any tax positions taken, and accordingly, does not have any uncertain tax positions that are material to the financial statements.
