“The governing body delegates authority to the officer/executive committee to act on its behalf. The committee includes all officers of the board - president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer.”

“The executive committee reviews the draft before it is filed. A copy of the form 990 is emailed to the board for review.”

“The full board and key personnel are covered by the policy. Each board member signs a document annually acknowledging the conflict of interest policy. The board president and executive officers determine if a conflict exists. Personnel and board members are not allowed voting authority on matters where a conflict of interest exists.”

“Compensation is dictated by the minneapolis school district under the contract between the minneapolis school district and minneapolis federation of teachers, local 59. The contract determines salary on the step and lane of each employee based on years of experience and educational degrees. The contract is negotiated every other year with the last contract being 2023- 2025. The next contract is for 2025-2027.”
