Program two - total 2011 contacts: 528,815public awareness outreach to the community about intellectual and developmental disabilities through the arc voice newsletter (3 issues sent to 17,862 people each for a total of 53,586); annual report (1600 distributed); the newly created arc facebook page (183 fans); e-newsletter (12 issues sent to 18,538 emails monthly); 10 targeted e-blasts (annual campaign, gala, picnic, estate planning seminar, etc.) sent to a total of 50,157 email addresses; policy preview (29 issues sent to 1941 people each time for 50,157 contacts) and our website (144,544 visitors in 2011).in addition, the arc sent out 57 news releases in 2011, generating significant media coverage which is not included in the total contacts. Marketing for arc's value village thrift stores & donation centers always include brief messages connecting shopping, donating or volunteering with benefiting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families, adding hundreds of thousands more contacts not included in the total above.

Activity 3

Program three - total three 2011 volunteer total: 5,038volunteers provided over 95,000 hours of assistance in virtually all of the arc's endeavors, serving on committees, contacting elected officials about policy issues, helping with fundraising and agency events, helping process donation at arc's value village thrift stores, and general office support.
