Conflicts of interest are reviewed annually by board members. If the board has reasonable cause to believe a member has failed to disclose a financial interest, it shall inform the member of the basis for such belief and afford the member an opportunity to explain the alleged failure to disclose. If, after hearing the member's response and futher investigationas warranted by the circumstances, the board has determined the member has failed to disclose a financial conflict of interest it shall take appropriate disciplinary and corrective action.

Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

In accordance with professional standards, habitat follows the statutory requirements of their income tax accounting and generally avoids risks associated with potentially problematic tax positions that may be challenged upon examination. Management believes any liability resulting from taxing authorities imposing additional income taxes from activities deemed to be unrelated to habitat's tax-exempt status would not have a material effect on the accompanying financial statements. Habitat is subject to routine audits by taxing jurisdictions; however, there are currently no audits in progress for any tax periods.
