A service organization created to foster the development of the accessiblity equipment industry by engaging in activities and establishing programs to promote the awareness, understanding, acceptance and utilization of accessiblity equipment. To unite accessiblity equipment manufacturers to liaise collectively with equipment users, architects, building owners, code writers, regulatory authorities, and the elevator industry in general; to gather, analyze, appraise and disseminate information pertaining to the industry, and to serve as a forum for the standardization of accessiblity equipment operation, terminology, signage and other design aspects to facilitate safety, security, and ease of use; to do all things necessary to promote the welfare of the association and its memebers, and to wisely service its members, industry, and public.
