“Members of the organization are considered to be anyone who donates during the course of the fiscal year per the by-laws.”

“The nominating committee nominates new board members. The full board then votes on new board members at our annual meeting as per our bylaws.”

“Form 990 is reviewed by the board president and finance committee prior to filing. A complete copy of form 990 is also provided to all board directors at time of filing.”

“Board directors sign a conflict of interest document each year in which they are asked to disclose all interests in which they may have conflict. At that annual meeting we review definitions of conflict of interest with the board directors and their signatures indicate they will disclose all facts material to the conflict of interest which will be reflected in meeting minutes. Persons with conflicts may not participate in those decisions except to disclose material facts and to respond to questions.”

“Executive director compensation is subject to the review and approval of the organization's governing body. The ed submits performance goals and objectives at the beginning of the fiscal year. Compensation is determined at the end of the fiscal year after these completed goals and objectives and professional competencies are reviewed.”

“The friends of appleton library makes these documents available upon request.”

“Friends of appleton public library (friends) advocates and raises funds for the appleton public library (apl) and serves as a bridge between the library and the greater appleton community. Public funding isnt enough to provide all the services and resources that our community needs. With friends funds, apl provides enhanced library services beyond those paid for with tax dollars for all ages, demographics, residents and visitors of the fox cities communities.”
