To provide elderly and disabled seniors with an environment where they can independently live but yet feel secure should help be needed.

Galloway homes, inc. Was created to provide low income, subsidized housing for elderly and permanently disabled persons. Rental assistance payments are provided by the u.s. Department of agriculture rural development and are based on the annual income of the tenants. In 2013, total rental assistance of approximately $47,000 was applied to the rent of the tenants of galloway homes, inc.

(a not-for profit organization which specializes in skilled nursing, long-term care, and housing services for elderly and disabled members of the community). The contract terms are renewed every five years. The board of directors of galloway homes, inc. Reviews the contract terms to ensure that quality services are being achieved at the lowest possible cost for the programs being provided. The board of directors also consult with other wisconsin nursing home association members to ensure that the amounts being paid are consistent for administrative services paid throughout the region.

Explanation for hours worked by officers: mike christensen, randy bestaul, and anita raffesberger are employed by the management services organization, grace lutheran foundation, inc., and as such a part of their duties is to provide management and oversight to all of the healthcare and housing services of grace lutheran foundation, inc., chippewa valley ecumenical housing, american lutheran homes, inc., american lutheran community services, inc., and galloway homes, inc., which are all non-profit religious based organizations who provide care and housing to those in need. The average amount of time devoted to galloway homes, inc. As noted in part vii of the form 990 includes an approximate amount of time devoted each week to the american lutheran homes organizations which includes galloway homes, inc., however these individuals often work well in excess of the amount of hours listed in order to support and further the mission of the organizations as noted. Explanation for hours worked by board members: all members of galloway homes, inc.'s board of directors serve on the board of american lutheran homes, inc. And american lutheran community services, inc. Matters involving these entities are resolved during regularly scheduled meetings of american lutheran home's board.

PART VI, LINE 3, MANAGEMENT SERVICES AGREEMENT:

Galloway homes, inc. Has entered into a management services agreement with grace lutheran foundation, inc. (grace), a non-profit, religious based senior healthcare services organization in eau claire, wisconsin. Under this agreement, grace provides general administrative, consulting, accounting, human resources, and facility management to galloway homes, inc. Under the management agreement, grace is also responsible for the selection and review of the administrator of galloway homes, inc.

The board of directors of galloway homes, inc. Reviews the audited financial statements annually and is responsible for the oversight and selection of the independent accountant. The board also takes time during the presentation of the annual financial statements to meet with the independent auditors without management's presence to be able to ask questions of the independent accountants without management involvement. There were no changes to these procedures during 2013.

Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

Galloway homes is a tax-exempt corporation as described in section 501(c)(4) of the internal revenue code (the "code") and is exempt from federal income taxes on related income pursuant to section 509(a) of the code. Galloway homes is also exempt from state income taxes on related income. In order to account for any uncertain tax positions, galloway homes assesses whether it is more likely than not that a tax position will be sustained upon examination of the technical merits of the position, assuming the tax authority has full knowledge of all information. If the tax position does not meet the more likely than not recognition threshold, the benefit of the tax position is not recognized in the accompanying financial statements. Galloway homes recorded no assets or liabilities for unrecognized tax benefits from uncertain tax positions in 2013 and 2012. Federal returns for the years ended 2010 and beyond remain subject to examination by the internal revenue service.
