The organization is a nonprofit corporation as described in section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code and is exempt from federal and state income taxes on related income pursuant to section 501(a) of the code as other than a private foundation. The organization evaluates its uncertain tax positions on an annual basis, and there have been no recorded uncertain tax positions recorded in 2023, 2022, or 2021. Therefore, no provision or liability for income taxes has been included in the financial statements. The organization files various federal or state non-profit tax returns. The organization is no longer subject to u.s. Federal or state examinations by tax authorities for tax years prior to 2020.

THE PROGRAMMING FOCUSED ON PROVIDING YOUTH WITH AN INCREASED SENSE OF SUPPORT AND CONNECTION IN THEIR SCHOOL WHILE ALSO TEACHING HEALTHY COPING SKILLS, SO STUDENTS ARE LESS LIKELY TO TURN TO ALCOHOL AND OTHER DRUGS WHEN EXPERIENCING EMOTIONAL DISTRESS. COMMUNITY PREVENTION - PROGRAMMING TO PREVENT OR DELAY THE INITIATION OF ALCOHOL, TOBACCO AND OTHER DRUGS BY YOUTH AS LONG AS POSSIBLE TO REDUCE THEIR RISK OF ADDICTION. IN 2023, ELEVATE PROVIDED EVIDENCE-BASED PREVENTION EDUCATION TO 2,827 MIDDLE SCHOOL AGED YOUTH IN WASHINGTON AND WAUKESHA COUNTY.
