THERE WERE 1,911 EMERGENCY ROOM VISITS IN 2014, ALONG WITH 119,078 LABORATORY PROCEDURES, 13,151 THERAPY AND REHABILITATIVE SERVICES, 450 OUTPATIENT SURGERIES AND 11,790 IMAGING PROCEDURES PERFORMED. MCHS-CHIPPEWA VALLEY IS LICENSED FOR 25 ACUTE AND 35 LONG-TERM CARE BEDS. IN 2014, MCHS-CHIPPEWA VALLEY DISCHARGED MORE THAN 420 PATIENTS. EACH RESIDENT OF THE NURSING HOME RECEIVES PERSONALIZED MEDICAL, SOCIAL AND SPIRITUAL CARE. THE FOCUS IS ON PRESERVING THE LIFESTYLE OF EACH RESIDENT WITH 24-HOUR NURSING CARE, SOCIAL SERVICES, ACTIVITY THERAPY, DIETARY SERVICES, CHAPLAIN SERVICES AND REHABILITATION THERAPY. THERE WERE 10,366 DAYS OF SERVICE IN THE NURSING HOME DURING 2014.FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IS AVAILABLE TO PATIENTS FINANCIALLY UNABLE TO PAY FOR SERVICES PROVIDED. THE COST OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PROVIDED IN 2014 WAS APPROXIMATELY $453,000.MCHS-CHIPPEWA VALLEY ALSO PROVIDES CARE TO PERSONS COVERED BY GOVERNMENTAL PROGRAMS.
