“Assessments - members of rotary club of appleton are part of a worldwide network of more than 1.2 million men and women who make a difference in the lives of people in our community and around the world. Rotarians work together to find solutions for issues of poverty, disease , and illiteracy, and help provide clean water and improve the environment. Asessments paid to rotary international and to rotary district 6220 assist to accomplish these goals.”

“Youth activities - on september 28-29, 2019 the club sponsored four students to attend camp manitowish for rotary youth leadership awards (ryla) which is an intesnive leadership experience organized by rotary clubs and districts. This camp helps develop leadership skills while having fun and making connections. On october 29, students attended a club meeting in which they shared their leadership experiences such as the high rope course and how they now understand that leadership is not just one person but people taking initiative together. We hosted a rotary youth exchange student from denmark. This program was established to build peace one young person at a time. Students learn a new lanuage, disocver another culture, and truly become global citizens. On october 15, 2019, participants shared how houses, trucks and high school is much bigger in the united states. She beleives that she has grown from her experiences to be more independent, responsible and has broadened her comfort zone.”
