“At june 30, 2025 there are 26 endowments gifted to the grand valley university foundation. The community foundation for muskegon county interfaith dialogue fund endowment is designed to support programming that leads to greater understanding and acceptance between people of all faiths, including in particular, to support interfaith dialogue events of national and regional scope, held in west michigan, and to support west michigan academic consortium conferences. The community leadership scholarship endowment seeks to support and honor grand valley state university students who have demonstrated their willingness to combine community service with the pursuit of their professional vocations. Marilyn and budge sherwood seidman college of business scholarship for non-traditional students endowment provides scholarships for non-traditional students who have taken time off to raise a family who are in pursuit of a business degree. The brooks first generation endowed scholarship supports oliver wilson scholars who are the first in their family to earn a four-year degree. The richard a. Winn michigan lodging and tourism association endowed scholarship increases awareness of careers in hospitality and tourism management and supports underrepresented individuals in the field. The lupe ramos-montigney "si se puede" legacy endowed scholarship is to support students from the grand rapids public school district who demonstrate an interest in learning about, or whose lives have been shaped by, the unique struggles of undocumented persons or migrant farm workers. The earl harper scholarship endowment provides scholarships for students enrolled in the historically black college/university/hispanic serving institution consortium and enrolled in any graduate degree program in the seidman college of business. Don williams sr. Dean emeritus, business education endowed scholarship assists graduates of urban schools in wayne county pursuing a business degree. The johnny c. Burton memorial scholarship endowment provides scholarships for students enrolled in the historically black college/university/hispanic serving institution consortium, with a preference for first generation students. The rick hamlin endowed scholarship assists students who have demonstrated a career interest in environmental design, nursing, psychology, or education. The mnomen native american tribes endowed scholarship will assist native american tribal members who are students with education at gvsu. The pham dinh tham memorial endowed scholarship will assist students who demonstrate an interest in learning about vietnamese language and/or culture. The jeff "dr j" chamberlain meijer honors college alumni endowed scholarship was established to support students in the frederik meijer honors college. The grace huizenga endowed scholarship assists students who demonstrate interest in learning about, or providing services to address, the unique struggles of the lgbtq+ community in pursuit of a degree from the kirkhof college of nursing or college of health professions. The social work urban communities endowed scholarship assists students pursuing careers in social work who attended urban schools in michigan (eligible urban schools are defined as schools on the list for the urban schools scholarship), who demonstrate overcoming systemic inequities, and who demonstrate a commitment to advocate for social justice in urban communities in their future career. The spectrum health endowed scholarship has been established to encourage students from michigan to pursue and complete degrees in the health care fields. The crowe llp strive for progress endowed scholarship was established to encourage students underrepresented in the field to join the accounting industry by providing financial assistance to remove barriers to earning a gvsu degree. The legendary lambda pi legacy endowed scholarship was established to provide monetary support to further the educational aspirations of undergraduate”

“The foundation is a not-for-profit corporation and is exempt from tax under the provisions of internal revenue code section 501(c)(3). Accounting principles generally accepted in the united states of america require management to evaluate tax positions taken by the foundation and recognize a tax liability if the foundation has taken an uncertain position that more likely than not would not be sustained upon examination by the irs or other applicable taxing authorities. Management has analyzed the tax positions taken by the foundation and has concluded, that as of june 30, 2025 and 2024, there are no uncertain positions taken or expected to be taken that would require recognition of a liability or disclosure in the financial statements.”
