“Fundacion sala mendoza is an independent, non-profit, alternative exhibition space dedicated to promoting contemporary artistic practices. Since its foundation it has maintained a continuous commitment to creative activity, providing a platform for the exchange of knowledge that stimulates new ways of approaching art adapted to the intense and plural social transformations. With a vision aimed at being the center of reference for the artistic scene and production, as well as for contemporary critical debate, the foundation reconciles its profile as a non-profit civil association with a self-management dynamic. This double condition allows it to operate from four programs or areas of action that include a wide and diverse exhibition activity dedicated to the dissemination of emerging and established contemporary artists, a documentation center that houses the historical memory of the institution since its foundation, a bookstore or art store that schedules small exhibitions and offers a selection of books, crafts, and design objects for sale and, finally, an education program that, in addition to offering two diploma courses in contemporary art, plans workshops, seminars, meetings, conversations, and an editorial program entitled cuadernos de la sala.”
