| 2HEARTS distributed 1200 Parent Checklists to hospitals and clinics. These checklists, developed by 2HEARTS, help caregivers keep track of the many details and avenues that need to be pursued to ensure their child receives the best care possible. These checklists are proving to be extremely valuable to caregivers. This is true also of the 2HEARTS workbook which provides more detailed and comprehensive information for teens. 2HEARTS provided 1,000 workbooks in 2020. With the help of cardiologists from Childrens Hospital Colorado and UCHealth, 2HEARTS created a CHD and dental hygiene brochure in 2020. 2HEARTS continues to make it a priority to focus on dental hygiene/good dental care for our teens and families with CHD. Colorado Childrens Hospital has seen a very high incidence of endocarditis in the last few years for CHD patients. This is an infection of the inner lining of the heart or heart valves. People with CHD are at a particularly high risk. It can be very dangerous. 2HEARTS distributed over 1000 of these brochures in 2021. Another 2HEARTS publication that provides education is the book, Connected at the Heart. At a 2HEARTS workshop, a group of teens with CHD wrote a story they wished theyd had as young children. The process has been very meaningful for the adolescents who wrote the stories, and the resulting book is now serving as a source of inspiration and hope for others who live with CHD. It continues to be distributed at hospitals in Colorado for free and available for purchase through Amazon and our website. | - | $13,337 |
| 2HEARTS has produced a series of CHD awareness videos. CHD is the number one birth defect nationally and yet few educational resources exist to inform those with the disease and their caregivers about its impact on their lives. 2HEARTS awareness videos have been viewed by more than 3200 people so far. | - | - |
