“Form 990, Part III - Additional Information 2024 Executive Summary of Accomplishments At its core, Love INC of Worthington is a ministry created to mobilize its 18 churches to reach out and serve their local community. This is lived out by equipping individual members to engage and empower their neighbors in need to live more purposeful lives. In total, Love INC mobilized 7 volunteers for 545 acts of service, totaling over 1900 hours and valued at $66,101. A lot was accomplished by this joint effort. The Love INC Clearinghouse Helpline continued to serve local callers with a wide range of needs. Part III continued On a daily basis caring volunteers listened to the needs of callers, asked questions to gain a greater understanding of their sotries, connected and verified information by speaking to others involved in their situation, offered encouragment & support, & connected callers with the most appropriate community resources. In total, we worked with 236 families in need. Working with these families we were able to help them problem solve their situations and provided referrals to services (church, government, community). Many of the referrals were to our partner churches for ministries who provide products or services that are filling previous gaps in community services. These ministries, organized & overseen by Love INC, provide short term assistance to people in various struggles & crises. Oversaw GAP ministries which included, baby clothing, beds, furniture, household, linens, personal items, widows ministry & ride ministry. The value of these products & services totals of $4,900. Furthermore, these products & services are delivered by caring volunteers who speak encouragement & offer prayer to those going through difficult situations. Some of those we work with are experiencing deeper levels of need. They are stuck in chronic need that takes more than products & services to solve. Growing Hope is a program that is provides support that teaches skills to help participants live more meaningful & productive lives. Transportation and childcare was provided to participants & they were able to earn incentives through weekly attendance & homework. We are continuing to learn how to balance hand-outs with handups and what that looks like through a network of churches, community agenices, & government programs networking together. We have a long way to go but are encouraged by what we have learned so far. Form 990, Part III Line 4a - First Accomplishment Clearinghouse Helpline: The Clearinhouse answers incoming calls from those in need. After those in need have told their story the clearinghouse volunteers move forward in screening, and verifying that clients needs. After the calls have been verified that their is a true need. Clients are connected with local churches, Gap Ministries, community resources, and christian indivduals. In 2024, they did 236 intakes, 456 referrals were made. $4,900 was the estimated value of Gap Ministry assets given to our neighbors in need. All of these assets were donated from churches, businesses, and citizens of the community. Form 990, Part III, Line 4d-All other accomplishments Volunteer Recruitment & Training-We help church volunteers find ways to serve neighbors in need. We orientate them to the Love In the Name of Christ process & train them for specific roles. Our goal is to teach so volunteers will know how to give a hand up instead of a hand out. The client is involved with set up, take down, serving refreshments and greeting the public viewers of the decorated Christmas trees. This helps build relationships and helps with the teaching of hand up instead of hand out.”

This is lived out by equipping individual members to engage and empower their neighbors in need to live more purposeful lives. In total, Love INC mobilized 7 volunteers for 545 acts of service, totaling over 1900 hours and valued at $66,101. A lot was accomplished by this joint effort. The Love INC Clearinghouse Helpline continued to serve local callers with a wide range of needs. Part III continued On a daily basis caring volunteers listened to the needs of callers, asked questions to gain a greater understanding of their sotries, connected and verified information by speaking to others involved in their situation, offered encouragment & support, & connected callers with the most appropriate community resources. In total, we worked with 236 families in need. Working with these families we were able to help them problem solve their situations and provided referrals to services (church, government, community). Many of the referrals were to our partner churches for ministries who provide products or services that are filling previous gaps in community services. These ministries, organized & overseen by Love INC, provide short term assistance to people in various struggles & crises. Oversaw GAP ministries which included, baby clothing, beds, furniture, household, linens, personal items, widows ministry & ride ministry. The value of these products & services totals of $4,900. Furthermore, these products & services are delivered by caring volunteers who speak encouragement & offer prayer to those going through difficult situations. Some of those we work with are experiencing deeper levels of need. They are stuck in chronic need that takes more than products & services to solve. Growing Hope is a program that is provides support that teaches skills to help participants live more meaningful & productive lives. Transportation and childcare was provided to participants & they were able to earn incentives through weekly attendance & homework. We are continuing to learn how to balance hand-outs with handups and what that looks like through a network of churches, community agenices, & government programs networking together. We have a long way to go but are encouraged by what we have learned so far. Form 990, Part III Line 4a - First Accomplishment Clearinghouse Helpline: The Clearinhouse answers incoming calls from those in need. After those in need have told their story the clearinghouse volunteers move forward in screening, and verifying that clients needs. After the calls have been verified that their is a true need. Clients are connected with local churches, Gap Ministries, community resources, and christian indivduals. In 2024, they did 236 intakes, 456 referrals were made. $4,900 was the estimated value of Gap Ministry assets given to our neighbors in need. All of these assets were donated from churches, businesses, and citizens of the community. Form 990, Part III, Line 4d-All other accomplishments Volunteer Recruitment & Training-We help church volunteers find ways to serve neighbors in need. We orientate them to the Love In the Name of Christ process & train them for specific roles. Our goal is to teach so volunteers will know how to give a hand up instead of a hand out. The client is involved with set up, take down, serving refreshments and greeting the public viewers of the decorated Christmas trees. This helps build relationships and helps with the teaching of hand up instead of hand out. |
