Mission

The Pleasant Ridge School is an urban public school located in Cincinnati, Ohio. It is part of the Cincinnati Public School District. Its student body is comprised of a high percentage of disadvantaged children, and the budget of the Cincinnati Public School system is inadequate to provide all the money needed to support the education of the children. Parents of many of the students are unable to provide funds to pay for any extracurricular activities whatsoever. The library is extremely underfunded. The activity of the Foundation is to raise funds and otherwise channel resources to the school, to enhance and support the education the children receive. In the 6 months since the formation of the Foundation, funds have been raised through sale of yard signs, a Benefit Flower Sale, and direct donations. In the future, money will also be raised through an Alumnae Fund, and Annual Gift Campaign, and by obtaining grants for specific programs. A website is currently being designed which will
