“The Isle Royale Boaters Association has been and is currently saving monies for a floating dock system being proposed for Passage Island within the Isle Royale National Park. We had started this program eleven years ago and are waiting for the National Park System (NPS) to grant a permit, and issue their environmental impact statement. Our estimate in our report to the NPS was $40,000 back in 2008. It likely will be more than that now; and we are preparing for that likelihood. We are also looking at building a pavillion for Rock Harbor at a cost approximating $40,000.”
