“OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 4: SEPSIS AWARENESS MONTHGENERAL SEPSIS AWARENESSSepsis Alliance continued its efforts to pursue its primary exempt purpose: Saving lives by raising awareness of sepsis as a medical emergency and support those impacted by this devastating disease.Sepsis Alliance launch Sepsis Awareness Month as a way to focus attention on sepsis across the country. This year SA experienced record traffic to the website and a record number of requests for education materials from advocates and healthcare professionals. SA also partnered with the CDC to produce education webinars throughout the month OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 5: SEPSIS SURVIVOR AND VICTIM SUPPORTSA works to support sepsis survivors and those who have lost someone or had a loved one suffer the impact of sepsis. SA formed a partnership this year with the Hanger Foundation to create a series of public service announcements that will raise awareness of sepsis and the symptoms to look for. The PSAs will air on the Patient Channel and other outlets in the future.”

These events help raise awareness in local communities and help fund sepsis awareness and education programs. This program is expected to continue its growth in the coming years.

The web sites popular Faces of Sepsis feature has over 400 stories from sepsis survivors and tributes from family and friends that relate their experiences with sepsis. In partnership with the CDC the site also now features downloadable Sepsis Fact Sheets for use by patients, families and caregivers. Social media efforts have continued and Sepsis Alliance is active on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram as part of the organizations efforts to disseminate prevention, awareness and education to people of all ages.
