“The organization strives to maintain the highest ethical standards in all policies, procedures and programs to avoid any conflict of interest. Each director and employee shall annually sign a statement which affirms that such person: 1) has received a copy of the conflict of interest policy; 2) has read and understands the policy; 3) has agreed to comply with the policy. In connection with any direct or indirect financial interest or conflict of interest, an interested person must disclose the existence of his/her financial interest or affiliation and all material facts to the board. Individual outcomes: 167 individuals with significant disabilities received independent living services and pursued self-identified goals related to housing, employment, benefits, health care, transportation, and daily living. 848 individuals received information and referral services with follow-up support to access previously unavailable knowledge, services, and community resources. 33 individuals increased independent living skills through individual or group training focused on budgeting, housing, transportation, and self- advocacy. 31 individuals strengthened peer or natural support networks through peer modeling and relationship-based supports. 175 individuals gained access to previously unavailable assistive technology, including devices, durable medical equipment, training, or funding. 32 individuals gained access to health or mental health care services or insurance coverage through benefitis navigation and advocacy. 12 individuals gained access to reliable transportation, increasing participation in employment, volunteer activities, and community life. 28 individuals achieved community-based living outcomes, including housing stability, increased independence, or diversion from unnecessary institutionalization. 21 individuals achieved vocational outcomes through employment-related advocacy, job readiness support, or stabilization of work. 34 youth received pre-employment transition services through partnerships with michigan rehabilitation services and the bureau of services for blind persons.”
