“Member shall consist of 1) Institutional members, 2) Other administrators, 3) Affiliate members, and 4) Honorary members. One full membership (institutional) in Michigan Association of Intermediate School Administrators entitles the Intermediate School Districts (ISD) to one (1) vote on any issue brought before the Association. Each ISD is entitled to one (1) vote on all issues. Honorary members will be approved on a case by case basis by the Executive Board and council. Members of the Executive Board are elected by institutional members. Each member has one (1) vote.”

“In order to avoid any actual or potential conflict of interest problems, each MAISA board member shall, prior to taking office or accepting appointment, agree to abide by the MAISA conflict of interest policy. If disclosure is made, the minutes of the meeting shall reflect the steps, if any, that were taken to limit participation of the Board Member and in those cases where the Quorum was not already established, that the Board Member was not counted in determining the Quorum. Conflict of interest disclosure forms shall be completed by all board members at least once a year.”

“The compensation of all officers and highest compensated individuals are paid by Michigan Association of School Administrators (MASA), and unrelated 501(c)(3) organization as a common paymaster. The MAISA Executive Board determines the salary of the Executive Director.”
